While details like clothing and fingers were given some attention to detail, the faces are relatively ambiguous and the boys wear somber expressions. Between the two figures is a large scroll pattern, with the center dominated by three fleurs-de-lis.  Smaller ones are carved into the table above the support. The floor of the tomb looks to be made of polished stone or marble. The porphyry sarcophagus, white marble, and the mosaic designs were expensive individually, and to be seen in combination it symbolizes the wealth of the king and the kingdom.<br \/>\nModern Province: (PA) Palermo<br \/>\nModern Town: Palermo<\/p>\n"},"caption":{"rendered":"<p>South Side of the South Support on the Sarcophagus of King Roger II<\/p>\n"},"alt_text":"","media_type":"image","mime_type":"image\/jpeg","media_details":{"width":600,"height":450,"file":"2013\/04\/P8070043.jpg","sizes":{"thumbnail":{"file":"P8070043-150x150.jpg","width":150,"height":150,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/P8070043-150x150.jpg"},"medium":{"file":"P8070043-300x225.jpg","width":300,"height":225,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/P8070043-300x225.jpg"},"slider-thumb":{"file":"P8070043-600x395.jpg","width":600,"height":395,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/P8070043-600x395.jpg"},"blog-thumb":{"file":"P8070043-600x300.jpg","width":600,"height":300,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/P8070043-600x300.jpg"},"teaser-thumb":{"file":"P8070043-332x205.jpg","width":332,"height":205,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/P8070043-332x205.jpg"},"gallery-1-thumb":{"file":"P8070043-432x432.jpg","width":432,"height":432,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/P8070043-432x432.jpg"},"gallery-2-thumb":{"file":"P8070043-268x268.jpg","width":268,"height":268,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/P8070043-268x268.jpg"},"gallery-3-thumb":{"file":"P8070043-268x164.jpg","width":268,"height":164,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/P8070043-268x164.jpg"},"video-thumb":{"file":"P8070043-600x393.jpg","width":600,"height":393,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/P8070043-600x393.jpg"},"full":{"file":"P8070043.jpg","width":600,"height":450,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/P8070043.jpg"}},"image_meta":{"aperture":2.8,"credit":"","camera":"C5060WZ","caption":"","created_timestamp":1218108898,"copyright":"","focal_length":"5.7","iso":"100","shutter_speed":"0.0333333333333","title":"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA"}},"post":632,"source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/P8070043.jpg","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media\/941"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/attachment"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=941"}]}}
