This picture represents a complete a set of four bells attached to the stone structure and various levels embedded through the stone arches.  (Look carefully at the one bell chamber along the right adjacent wall)  &#8220;With pointed arches surmounted by a beautiful rose window; it faces the detached campanile with double lancet windows, which was built in 1312 as a lookout tower&#8221; (Sicily p.101).  The lookout tower which now houses the bell chambers, was a prime example of the fusion between gothic design fused with Byzantine elements.  The Church was constructed in 1314 however the interior was remodeled in 1865 to present a more neo-gothical design.  Only the interior of the main nave of the Church was remodeled; the bell tower is still original from design as is the whole exterior of the Church<br \/>\nModern Province: (TP) Trapani<br \/>\nModern Town: Erice<\/p>\n"},"caption":{"rendered":"<p>Campanile Trio<\/p>\n"},"alt_text":"","media_type":"image","mime_type":"image\/jpeg","media_details":{"width":500,"height":375,"file":"2013\/03\/EriceBellTower3.jpg","sizes":{"thumbnail":{"file":"EriceBellTower3-150x150.jpg","width":150,"height":150,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/EriceBellTower3-150x150.jpg"},"medium":{"file":"EriceBellTower3-300x225.jpg","width":300,"height":225,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/EriceBellTower3-300x225.jpg"},"teaser-thumb":{"file":"EriceBellTower3-332x249.jpg","width":332,"height":249,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/EriceBellTower3-332x249.jpg"},"gallery-1-thumb":{"file":"EriceBellTower3-432x375.jpg","width":432,"height":375,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/EriceBellTower3-432x375.jpg"},"gallery-2-thumb":{"file":"EriceBellTower3-268x268.jpg","width":268,"height":268,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/EriceBellTower3-268x268.jpg"},"gallery-3-thumb":{"file":"EriceBellTower3-268x164.jpg","width":268,"height":164,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/EriceBellTower3-268x164.jpg"},"full":{"file":"EriceBellTower3.jpg","width":500,"height":375,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/EriceBellTower3.jpg"}},"image_meta":{"aperture":4,"credit":"","camera":"C5060WZ","caption":"","created_timestamp":1092659294,"copyright":"","focal_length":"5.7","iso":"80","shutter_speed":"0.002","title":"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA"}},"post":102,"source_url":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/EriceBellTower3.jpg","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media\/610"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/attachment"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.envisioningnormansicily.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=610"}]}}
